Meet Drason Beasley

Drason Beasley is a Christian, husband, father, public safety leader, youth sports coach, educator, and a Republican candidate running for Williamson County Commission in District 12.

Drason's commitment to the citizens of Williamson County runs deep. For over 20 years, he has served our community working with our at-risk youth through the Williamson County Juvenile Services and now serves as director of Williamson County’s Juvenile Detention Center. This position has given him firsthand insight into both the challenges facing families and the transformative power of education.

This experience has shaped his approach to public service and reinforced his commitment to policies that strengthen families, support education, and keep communities safe.

A lifelong middle Tennessean and proud graduate of Dickson County High School, Drason earned his Bachelor of Arts in Education from Lane College in 2005.

His educational background, combined with more than two decades of public service, has prepared him for the responsibilities of elected office and given him a comprehensive understanding of how county government operates.

Drason and his wife, Sonya Stokes-Beasley, have been married for 24 years and have three children attending Williamson County Schools.

Understanding that a solid education is vital for success in life, Drason sought a position on the school board, where he has been serving our community since 2022.

In that role, Drason has been a steady and consistent leader who effectively represents the needs and values of his constituents.

During his four years on the School Board, Drason has compiled a solid record of accomplishments where he worked to:

  • Fully reopen Williamson County Schools after the pandemic, ensuring students could return to in-person classroom learning
  • Eliminate Critical Race Theory and other radical ideologies from our schools
  • Remove age-inappropriate materials from school libraries and classrooms
  • Increase teacher salaries to attract and retain the best teachers for Williamson County's students
  • Back parents’ rights to provide greater educations opportunities for children
  • Implemented restrictions on screen time in schools to protect students’ mental health

In addition to his elected public service, Drason is actively involved in many aspects of our community. His involvement includes:

  •  Leadership Franklin Class of 2022-2023
  • Active member of Bethel World Outreach Church since 2005
  • President and Co-Founder of the local non profit, Banebow Inc 2010-2025
  • City of Franklin Citizens Police Academy 2016
  • Board Member, My Friend’s House 2006-2008
  • Creekside Basketball League Coach 2017 and 2019
  • YMCA Flag Football Coach 2019
  • Brentwood Blaze Football coach 2021-2023
  • Executive Leadership Board Member of Tennessee Juvenile Court Services Association 2020- present

Yet, on top of all these activities, being a father gives Drason his greatest joy.

After four years of effective service on the County School Board, where he has been a consistent voice representing the needs and values of our community, Drason is ready to bring that same principled leadership to the County Commission.
